Description
I ordered a resume revamp from this company and paid an average fee for that. A resume was rewritten well in some points, even in spite of the boring design. As for LinkedIn, I expected it to be different from my resume. However, the main disadvantage was long turnaround.
They say you only have 6 seconds to catch the HR with your resume, otherwise it gets in trash. So, my outdated resume was probably the reason why I was not getting interviews. Having decided to put an end to this problem, I started searching for a resume consultant to revamp my resume and found this website. There was a blog and some sort of paid subscription, and all this information made it hard to find on the site what I was looking for, so I went straight to prices page.
Pricing policy
In comparison with some companies charging over $500 for a single resume, their policy looks quite affordable. A resume for student is worth $50, professional one is $200 and the executive has to pay $250. However, I couldn’t make an order at once as I was supposed to contact the writer for consultation first.
Details of resume
I was looking for a phone number to call; but there was any, so I had to email. The writer only responded in 4 hours and informed that I could proceed with payment. As soon as I paid, she sent me a resume questionnaire to complete. When I was done with it, the writer promised to deliver first draft of my resume in 6 days. By the way, I also ordered a LinkedIn profile to be completed.
Quality of support and writing
Speaking about ways to get in touch with the writer, there isn’t much to choose from – you can only email her. No phone number, no live chat. I think it will be a real disadvantage for those who need a resume urgently. When I received a written resume, I noticed that it became more eye-catching. Nevertheless, the formatting looks dull; I expected some kind of an attractive template to be applied on my resume. I added some responsibilities I forgot to mention in the questionnaire and the writer added them too.
Conclusion
I don’t think I have a univocal opinion about this service. A resume was rewritten well in some points, even in spite of the boring design. As for LinkedIn, it was too similar to my resume and I expected it to be different. However, the main disadvantage is the poor communication and long turnaround. For those who need an urgent resume revamp, this is definitely not an option.
